This definitely sounds familiar. I remember one episode of Hitchcock Presents where a nurse is stuck in her home and hides from a killer who supposedly comes in through a window. It also sounds like “Sudden Fear” by John Crawford, which many people swear is a Hitchcock film. Does anyone else have any ideas?
